Absolut Warhol Limited Edition
The Absolut Warhol Limited Edition vodka celebrates the iconic connection between the Absolut brand and pop-art artist Andy Warhol, who created a unique interpretation of the Absolut bottle in 1985.
This new design brings to life Warhol's work, titled "Absolut Blue," rediscovered in 2020. The bottle features intense blue brushstrokes that are meticulously applied with multiple layers of silkscreen, resulting in a textured, hand-painted effect true to Warhol's original.
Absolut pays homage to Warhol's creativity with this design, and additionally adds a QR code to the bottle that gives customers access to the recipe for a special Warhol Milk Punch cocktail - combining Absolut vodka, cocoa butter, banana liqueur, lemon juice and cornflakes-flavoured milk. This unique cocktail is inspired by Warhol's love of sweets and creative flavours.
Absolut Vodka was born out of the Swedish tradition of vodka making and a commitment to the source and the community. Winter wheat from the area around the town of Åhus in southern Sweden is used for production . The fertile fields in southern Sweden are ideal for growing wheat, which yields approximately twice the global average for wheat production.
Water for production is always drawn locally from their own wells, which are more than 140 metres deep. The water has been filtered through Swedish rocks for thousands of years and gives a natural mouthfeel that cannot be created in a laboratory. After all, 60 % of vodka is pure water.
