The distillery was founded in 1894 and its production methods have hardly changed over the years. History, heritage, pride and passion today pass through the majestic estates of Knockdhu, as they did 125 years ago. The methods used to make anCnoc have hardly changed in more than 100 years, and it is ironic that it is these traditional techniques that help to create a distinctive, modern taste. John Morrison saw a golden vision of the future as clear crystal spring water flowed from Black Hill through the Highland peatlands. As a visionary, he saw a clear opportunity to turn this gift from nature into something to be valued.
