Like the best gins in the world, Aviation is distilled using a proprietary maceration recipe that creates a pure blend of botanical flavors. It is produced in Diageo, New York, USA. It is co-owned by the distinguished actor Ryan Reynolds.

It all starts with a precise blend of botanicals - cardamom, coriander, French lavender, aniseed, sarsaparilla, juniper and two types of orange peel. The botanicals are suspended in neutral grain alcohol in maceration tanks for 18 hours.

The macerate is then pumped into a still with pure water.

The distillation process takes approximately 7 hours, at which point the 'heart of the spirit' is 142 degrees of alcohol.

"The 'heart of the distillate' is then transferred to the mixing tank where pure water is added to achieve the desired gin concentration of 84 degrees.
