Caisteal

The Caisteal brand belongs to the Scottish distillery Mossburn. Mossburn is a young company with a growing brand portfolio. They make whiskey that will appeal to those who love genuine Scotch whisky. Mossburn named the brand Caisteal after Caisteal Chamuis, also known as Knock Castle or Castle Camus. It was a strategic fortress that helped the Macleod clan maintain the Sleat Peninsula on the Isle of Skye.

The Caisteal brand produces traditional Malt whisky that pay homage to the old-fashioned and Scottish traditions of the 13th century. Whisky is reminiscent of the times of fires, peat, smoke, sailors, but also the cheerful mood that prevailed in the pubs. It is ripe to perfection and filled into bottles in the old way, without coloring and filtration.
