Since 2009, Caorunn Gin has been handcrafted in small batches at the Balmenach distillery in the Speyside area of the Scottish Highlands. How can gin shine in a region that is famous for its whisky? It all starts with the name.

Caorunn {pronounced "ka-roon"} is inspired by the Gaelic word for "Rowan Berry". What's in a name, you ask? The humble rowan berry is one of five unique Celtic botanicals that are the base of this gin. They use a Scottish natural larder to hand store the rowan berry along with four other Celtic botanicals; all are within a ten minute walk of the distillery.

They then combine them with six traditional gin botanicals to create an ingenious recipe. This is the only gin in the world that is distilled in a functional copper berry chamber. This unique process allows the maximum flavour to be extracted from the botanicals, setting it apart from the rest. It's not just brilliant, it's brilliant gin.
