Chateau de Jau

Chateau de Jau is a winery located in the French region of Languedoc-Roussillon. It was founded in the 12th century by Cistercian monks. Today it is the property of the Dauré family. The small road leading to the Château de Jau winds through a majestic Mediterranean setting where olive groves and vineyards share the area.

The Château de Jau is home to around 100 hectares of vineyards, mainly of clay-limestone soil. The surroundings of the winery are affected by the sea wind, which gives the grapes a slightly salty smirk. As part of the transition to organic farming, the winery became a certified organic producer in 2018.
