Glenkinchie 12 Year Old
A smooth, mellow Glenkincie 12 Year Old from the Lowlands with a sweetish flavour. Glenkinchie comes from the green hills and valley of the River Kinchie in the Scottish Lowlands.
This 12 year old whisky has a reputation for being the driest and smoothest of the range. It has a light body, a mineral to buttery flavour with a hint of cinnamon and a faint trace of smoke.
An exceptionally light whisky which, experts agree, reaches its perfection at 12 years of age.
Winner of a gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2010 and the Scotch Whisky Masters in 2011, Glenkinchie is celebrated as a light and smooth whisky, ideal for sophisticated connoisseurs who like to indulge in a pre-dinner drink.
Its light character is the result of distillation in some of Scotland's greatest distilleries; matured for 12 years, the result is a light, floral whisky with a fresh, creamy flavour.
The letters GK in gold highlight the malt's good provenance and high status.
Glenkinchie 12 year old is fantastic with fish! It's light, slightly dry, smoky with spice - this makes it a perfect match for raw and spiced fish. Sashimi and sushi, mussels in bacon, shrimp in tempura.
The bottles are filled with 43 % alcohol at 0,7 l.
