Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto
Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto is a premium Italian aperitif that revives the nearly forgotten tradition of Rosolio – a drink once known as “aperitivo di corte” (royal aperitif) at the court of the King of Savoy in the 18th century. This exceptional liqueur takes you on a flavor journey across Italy, from north to south, blending authentic Italian ingredients, artistry, and creativity. The name "Rosolio" comes from the Latin term “ros olis,” which translates to “morning dew”. This name refers to the harvesting of ingredients in the early morning hours when they have the highest concentration of flavors.
Handcrafted bergamot liqueur, also known as “the green gold of Calabria,” sourced from a UNESCO protected area. This bergamot is prized for its intense aroma and distinct citrus flavor. The creator of Italicus is Giuseppe Gallo, who was inspired by his childhood memories on the Amalfi coast and sought to combine Italian art, poetry, and history into one exceptional product.
Italicus is remarkable for its lightness and balance, making it the ideal aperitif that awakens the senses and opens the appetite without overwhelming it. Try serving it over ice with prosecco.
