Johnnie Walker Red Label is still one of the most popular Scotch whiskeys, especially in Australia. Its history dates back to 1820, when John Walker himself bottled and sold whiskey in his groceries. However, the legacy was created by his son Alexander Walker and thanks to that, Johnnie Walker is today an icon. Launched for the first time in 1909, the Red Label contains a professionally blended mixture of 35 cereal and malt whiskeys, making it ideal for mixed drinks. It is known that Johnnie Walker Red was a favorite whiskey of Winston Churchill, who loved it with soda.
