Kensington

The original Belgian dry gin is a fine spirit made from juniper berries and other plants. It is distilled traditionally in copper stills with Scottish mineral water. It smells of fresh citrus and the spicy 'finish' gives it a pleasant roughness and sharpness.

Leonard J. Russell founded the company in 1933 and thirty years later his family acquired the Ian Macloed distillery where the gin is still made today.

This gin was originally an elixir and was created for a completely different purpose than it is today. Kensington was originally used as a cure for kidney problems. Patients probably liked it so much that it became a very popular spirit.
