Lagavulin 8 Year Old + 2 glasses pack
Whisky Lagavulin 8 Year Old was created in 2016 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Lagavulin distillery by John Johnston in 1816. This unique eight year old has a huge power of smoke and spice that complements beautifully with the sweet spice.
The whisky was inspired by Alfred Barnard's (distiller and historian) visit to the distillery in the 1880s, when he attempted to create an exceptionally fine eight year old whisky. Which he succeeded in doing, and as the whisky was a success, it was included in the brand's core portfolio.
The whisky was matured for 8 years in oak casks. In the aroma you can smell ground black pepper and aromatic wood, fresh notes of orange and lemon peel. Pleasant aromas of bonfires, hot shells with a hint of smoked meat. A drop of water in the whisky will bring aromas of peach and green apple.
On the palate, woody notes of coffee mingle with crunchy oatmeal and honeyed fruit. Traces of tobacco and spice. The bottles were filled at 48 % alcohol and the volume is 0,7 l. They come in a stylish gift box along with two glasses.
