Lala Tequila Reposado
Lala Tequila Reposado comes from the heart of the Jalisco highlands and reflects the deep beauty of its origin. Each bottle, made from agave thriving in mineral-rich, red soil, contains a dance of flavors - where the semi-sweet mouthfeel of agave intertwines with deep herbal notes, culminating in a pronounced finish. Experienced Jimadores, guided by generations of experience, skillfully reveal the piña, the soul of the agave.
The agave is cooked for over 9 hours. This process softens the piña and facilitates sugar extraction during milling. After cooking, the pieces of agave are transported to the mill for sugar extraction. Here, the cooked piñas are crushed to release the juice, which will eventually become the final product.
The extracted juice is fermented using yeast in large stainless steel tanks. This natural process of converting sugars into alcohol takes 72 hours.
The ferments are then separated by heat and stem in steel distillation. It is distilled twice - first as a crushing process and second as a purification process. During this step, the alcohol level reaches approximately 60% and is then reduced to a modest 40%.
After extraction, the essence embarks on a transformation journey and rests for 4 months in virgin oak barrels. It is here that the tequila acquires subtle notes of caramel, vanilla, and oak.
The result? Tequila Reposado, which speaks not only of ancient traditions and meticulous craftsmanship but also of a rich stay in the sanctuary of virgin oak. An elixir that honors the passion of its makers and the generosity of nature.
Each bottle is filled and hand-labeled one by one on an all-female production line.
Bottles are filled with alcohol content of 38% with a volume of 0.7 l.
