Loch Lomond 16 Year Old Waypoint Series Falls of Falloch
Loch Lomond Waypoint Series Falls of Falloch is a 16 year old single malt whisky that is distilled exclusively in Loch Lomond's swan neck stills. It was first matured in three types of American oak bourbon casks, then for 12 months in cognac casks before being bottled unchill-filtered and naturally coloured at 46,2 % alcohol.
At Loch Lomond Whiskies, discovery is at the heart of everything they do. In the Waypoint series, we invite you on a journey of discovery through a collection of whiskies inspired by the stunning landscapes around the distillery.
This series reflects a constant drive to push the boundaries of whisky making and captures the spirit of adventure in every release. Master Blender Michael Henry has crafted each whisky to tell a unique story - bringing together creativity, tradition and the finest casks. Each drop evokes a sense of place and discovery.
The Waypoint Series will reveal new dimensions of flavour and offer whisky lovers the opportunity to explore the remarkable possibilities of Scotch whisky.
Whisky is described as a drink with aromas of subtle citrus, honey and flowers. The palate opens with the sweetness of stewed apples, honeysuckle and honey blossom before the oaky notes from the cognac cask come to the fore. The finish is medium with subtle notes of citrus.
Loch Lomond Waypoint Series Falls of Falloch is sold in a carton with a hand-drawn artwork by Welsh illustrator Brett Breckon. The illustration describes a mythical journey through dense trees, flora and fauna to the majestic Falls of Falloch.
