Mexicana Silver
Silver Tequila Mexicana Silver - a spirit to which the extract of real silver tequila is added. Tequila is a traditional Mexican alcoholic beverage made from the blue agave tree in Tequila, Mexico. This area has very fertile volcanic soil.
Tequila Mexicana Silver is made from agave plants that are grown in the tequila region of Mexico. The plants are harvested and carefully cleaned to leave only the core of the plant, called the 'piña'. These piñas are then cooked, releasing sugars and other substances important for fermentation.
Once cooked, the piñas are crushed to extract the juice. This juice is then fermented, often with the help of yeast, which converts the sugars into alcohol. Fermentation is followed by distillation, which separates the pure alcohol, which is then packaged as Tequila Silver.
Tequila Mexicana Silver is a typical example of a young and fresh tequila, characterised by clean agave notes and citrus freshness. It is ideal for making refreshing cocktails or for consumption as a shot with a slice of lemon and salt.
