In developing the Mystic Collection, Monin's path led to three balsamic botanicals - Vetiver, Labdanum and Palo Santo - each of which has a rich history of connecting humans with their spiritual essence. These plants were chosen for their ability to provide a subtle, almost mystical sensory experience.
Vetiver, also known as khamaré, is a plant native to southern Africa and Southeast Asia (the raw material for Paragon specifically from Java), with roots reaching up to 3 meters deep. Its rich woody notes, complemented by hints of pine, provide a solid base for any cocktail and bring a sense of groundedness and tradition.
For centuries Vetiver has embodied stability and strength, awakening the roots of the soul. It is a favourite in mixology and perfumery thanks to its earthy, truffle-like character, which is enhanced by notes of pine, the flagship ingredient for achieving excellence.
In the fragrance, Vetiver reveals a complex profile of strong earthy, woody, tuberose and pine notes. Extraction with supercritical CO2 captures the main essence, while steam distillation reveals notes of wild berries, spice and liquorice.
The drink is suitable as an ingredient in a variety of mixed drinks. The bottles have a capacity of 0,485 l.
