Old Ballantruan is an excellent peat malt whiskey made at Tomintoul Distillery in the Speyside region using peat barley. This is the very first whiskey, containing the age on the bottle, and comes with a sharp alcohol content of up to 50%. Goodness!
Aroma: Delicate pepper and rich tones of peat. Very sharp and intense, with tempting tones of vanilla.
Taste: Simple and balanced with a powerful rich taste of peat smoke and a hint of black pepper.
Finish: Intense and spicy with an increasing taste of woody smoke and tar.
