Description

The non-archival Pommery Brut Royal champagne at the Decanter World Wine Awards. In 1874, at the request of Madame Pommera, affectionately called "la Dame aux Roses" (Lady of the Roses), the cellar Victor Lambert created the first archival "brut" in the history of champagne.

Today, this revolutionary dry style is the standard for champagne. Brut Royal is wonderfully fresh and elegant with great balance and delicacy and an energetic finish thanks to the flavors of fleshy fruit and a little berry with a mixture that emphasizes Chardonnay grapes. Its freshness, with hints of citrus and white flowers, is the result of the first fermentation, which is carried out at a low temperature (16 °), which prevents the escape of delicate flavors.
