Powers Gold Label
Powers Gold Label is a classic Irish whiskey introduced in 1791 by John Powers & Sons. It used to be a straight pot still whiskey, but today it is a blend of straight pot still and grain whiskey with lots of honey and subtle spice notes.
The pot still whiskey is aged in mostly American oak barrels with second and third fillings to protect and finish the carefully crafted robust spirit. It is then blended with the finest grain whiskey to give it its unmistakable flavour.
In 1886, Powers Distillery was among the first to implement on-site bottling. This step ensured the authenticity and consistent quality of each bottle, which consumers quickly came to love. It was Powers that was the first Irish whiskey to use the iconic triangle-embossed bottle, symbolizing its three core values of quality, craft and tradition.
The bottles are bottled at 40 % alcohol with a 0,7 l capacity.
