Primitivo di Manduria D.O.C. Donna Maria

Primitivo di Manduria D.O.C. Donna Maria is a dry red wine from the vineyards of Cantore di Castelforte. These are located in the skyline of the town of Manduria, a wine region of Puglia in Italy.

The vineyards cover a large area of up to 600 hectares and, interestingly, all the agricultural production is organic. The wine comes from the Primitivo grape variety from the old Alberello vineyard, which dates back to 1968.

The result is a robust wine with an intense red colour, obtained in limited quantities from a late harvest. Particularly full-bodied in the glass, it reveals violet hues and an aromatic bouquet of fruity scents.

We recommend serving at a temperature of 14-16 °C. A nice accompaniment to beef with spicy sauce, or roast wild duck with wine sauce.
