Teremana Reposado Tequila Small Batch
Teremana Reposado Small Batch is a tequila that will win the hearts of lovers of fine spirits with its exceptional taste and meticulous handcrafting. It comes from a traditional production process using 100 % blue Weber agave from the Jalisco region of Mexico.
Teremana means spirit of the earth. From the care of the land from which the agave is sourced by the workers at the distillery, to the meticulous process of making tequila, to the people they work and spend time with. Teremana means taking care of what and who we love.
Tequila is made in a small Mexican town amidst the highest mountains of the Jalisco highlands, and every step of the tequila making process is carefully executed to create a delicious tequila that truly honors the land from which it comes. The brand uses local businesses and practices, allowing them to create sustainable ultra-premium tequila.
They utilize 100 % brick oven roasting, allowing Teremana to bring out the bright citrus flavor of Mexican highland agave. This traditional process takes time. Before crushing, the agave is roasted for 3 days to extract the juice for fermentation. The remaining agave fibers are used to make organic compost for the agave fields.
After the fermentation process in open tanks, Teremana is distilled using handmade copper pot stills. These kettles were made by a local craftsman on the distillery premises. The nature of the handmade copper pot stills not only harks back to the days of traditional tequila production processes, but also produces a purer and smoother tequila.
Teremana Reposado Tequila Small Batch is aged for approximately 4 to 6 months in American whiskey barrels. This shorter maturation time compared to añejo tequila gives it subtle notes of vanilla, oak and caramel, while retaining the fresh taste of agave. This makes Reposado an ideal choice for those looking for a balanced profile between young and longer-aged tequilas.
The bottles are filled at 40 % alcohol with a volume of 0,7 l.
