The best eggnog recipe!
Eggnog is one of the classic drinks on every holiday table. Even if you can buy it in a shop, the best eggnog is still the one you make yourself. Try this recipe, which you're sure to follow.
What do you need for eggnog?
- 500 ml rum (vodka, whisky - whatever you like)
Tip: we recommend rums - Dos Maderas, Black Tears, Kraken, Doorly's, Chairman's Reserve
- 1 condensed milk/salco (if you want the eggnog less sweet, feel free to omit the salco)
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 vanilla sugar
- cinnamon or nutmeg for garnish
Egg liqueur preparation procedure
1. Using a mixer, beat the egg yolks with the vanilla sugar over steam until foamy.
2. Allow to cool.
3. Once cooled, add the condensed milk and whisk until all ingredients are combined.
4. Add rum/alcohol according to how thick you prefer your eggnog.
5. Just stir the entire mixture by hand and pour through a strainer and funnel into the prepared bottle.
Refrigerate the egg liqueur, where it will keep for several days. Be careful, however, as the longer it stays there, the harder it will harden. Therefore, only make the amount of eggnog that you know you can drink. You can garnish with whole or ground cinnamon or nutmeg.
If you're not a fan of eggnog and you prefer store-bought liqueurs, choose from our wide selection of liqueurs. We offer liqueurs: chocolate, fruit, herbal, creamy, exotic, spicy, rum and many more.
