Timorous Beastie from the distillery Douglas Laing joins the ranks of Big Peat and Scallywag and is a blended malt whisky made exclusively from whisky from the Highland region from distilleries such as Dalmore, Glen Garioch, Glengoyne, etc.
It is part of the Remarkable Regional Malts series, which showcases the perfect distillation of Scottish malt whiskies from individual regions.
The name is a tribute to the poem by Robert Burns - To a Mouse, reflecting Burns' wit, as although the mouse in this poem is timid and small, this whisky is the exact opposite!
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 46.8% and come in gift tubes. The whisky is neither chill-filtered nor color-added.
Color: amber with brown highlights
Nose: acacia honey, cream, strawberries, dried apricots, white grapes, sherry
Palate: dried fruit, green apples, anise, malt, bread, heather
Finish: long, cinnamon candies, and fresh bread
