Vigna Rampante Rosso IGT Colli Trevigiani 2018

This exceptional red wine, called Mezzosangue, represents the perfect harmony between tradition and craftsmanship. The exquisite blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon comes from hand-picked grapes from the oldest vineyards in the Montello region, which is renowned for its ideal microclimate - dry, windy conditions and favourable slope exposure.

This wine has an intense aroma that reveals notes of ripe fruit, spice and subtle oak. On the palate it is deep, rich and balanced, with elegant tannins and a long, harmonious finish.

The grapes are harvested by hand in late September/early October to ensure optimum ripeness. Fermentation takes place with maceration on the grape skins in wooden vats for at least 10 days, which adds to the wine's complexity and colour. The wine is then aged for 14 to 18 months in oak barrels, gaining finesse and character, and finishing with a further minimum of two years' bottle ageing.
