The whisky aged for 13 years in traditional oak casks and then an additional 2 years in hand-selected casks that previously held agave tequila from the Jalisco highlands in Mexico. These casks imparted fruity, floral, and subtly spicy notes with hints of caramelized agave.

Deanston 15 Year Old Tequila Cask is non-chill filtered and without added coloring. It retains its natural oils, full flavor, and light golden color, reflecting the influence of the casks and the long aging process. It exclusively uses local, non-peaty barley from the Scottish Highlands.
