Foursquare Mandamus

Foursquare Mandamus (Mark XXIX) is the twentieth ninth limited edition from the Exceptional Cask Selection series, one of the most highly acclaimed rum lines in the world. This 16-Year-Old Single Blended Rum is a blend of pot still and column still distillates from a single distillery – Foursquare Rum Distillery – and represents the pinnacle of craftsmanship by Richard Seal and his team.

Rum aged in double maturation: 10 years in ex-bourbon casks and 6 years in ex-Tawny Port casks. This process creates a distinctly fruity and complex profile with a rich port character. Mandamus is bottled at 57% ABV, in natural color, without cold filtration and without any additives, ensuring an authentic rum experience.

On the nose, it brings intense notes of blackberries, ripe pineapple, plum, cherries, sultanas, vanilla caramel, ginger, hazelnuts, walnuts, and blackcurrants.

The palate is soft, sweet, and full: black ripe cherries, raspberries, Victoria plums, more sultanas and a subtle hint of orange peel.

The finish is long, complex – bitter chocolate, black tea, white pepper, a touch of chili, and a gently smoky, toasty, and oaky aftertaste.
