Foursquare Détente is a 10-year-old collectible rum from Barbados, created by a combination of double-retort pot and traditional column coffey still distillation. Rum is also a mixture of two single blended rums. The first 10 years matured in bourbon barrels, the second combined 4 years in bourbon barrels and another 6 years in port wine barrels. Foursquare Détente is a single blended rum from the edition of unique and rare Exceptional Cask Selections rums prepared directly by the brand owner Richard Seal. It is his personal project of creating exceptional rums, which are released into the world only when he feels that they have reached extraordinary quality. These rums are the only ones of their kind, available only for a short time in a limited number of bottles and represent a remarkable approach to mixing and maturing rums.
