Glencadam 2008 15 Year Old Madeira Cask Finish is an exceptional single malt whisky crafted by the Master Distiller of the Glencadam distillery in the Scottish East Highlands. This limited edition comes from a distillate from 2008, which first matured in high-quality American oak bourbon casks and was then finished in carefully selected Madeira wine casks from the Portuguese island of Madeira.
The final maturation in Madeira casks gives the whisky a unique character, rich sweetness, and pronounced complexity. The aroma features enticing notes of caramel, buttery cookies, and gingerbread spices, complemented by dried pineapple and pecans.
The taste is full and velvety, with layers of peach dessert, golden syrup, and crème caramel intertwining with notes of roasted nuts, pralines, and candied citrus peel. The finish is long and warming, with hints of honey cake, salted caramel, and delicate dark chocolate with cinnamon.
