Loch Lomond Peated Rioja Cask Finish is created through distillation in unique Straight Neck and Swan Neck stills, allowing for precise control over the character of the distillate. The result is a balanced base with a combination of fruitiness and subtle peat.

After primary maturation, whisky ages for an additional 6 months in Spanish red wine Rioja casks. This process imparts distinct notes of red fruit, gentle wine sweetness, and a spicy depth that elegantly complements the smoky profile.

The aroma reveals a combination of smoke, forest fruits, vanilla, and oak spice. The taste is harmonious – blending a peaty hint, dark cherries, dried fruit, and a gentle tannic structure from the wine casks. The finish is medium-long, slightly dry, and spicy.

This edition belongs to the new Original Series line and is available alongside The Original Triple Oak whisky. The bottle with an alcohol content of 40 % offers an accessible yet complex tasting experience for lovers of both smoky and fruitier whisky styles.
