“Sinteis” (pronounced sin-teesh) means “synthesis” in Scottish Gaelic - this name captures the creativity of the GlenAllachie distillery in combining two distinct yet complementary types of casks: on one hand, Scottish Virgin Oak, and on the other hand, Oloroso sherry casks.
The year of distillation is 2015 and the whisky has been matured in high-quality cask combinations. It is bottled at full cask strength of 58.2% ABV, with no added coloring and no chill filtration.
The nose features notes of coffee, grilled honeycomb, dried red berries, buttery cinnamon, toasted lemon peel, and muscovado sugar. The palate is full, containing heather honey, citrus, warm spices, ginger biscuits, stewed fruit, finishing with notes of coffee and vanilla buttercream.
The finish is long, with notes of dark chocolate, nutmeg, and gentle spiced orange, balanced between sweetness and oak depth.
This expression is ideal for connoisseurs seeking whisky with a rich structure, creative maturation, and a distinct identity, blending Scottish tradition with a modern approach to aging.
