A.H. Riise Royal Danish Navy Frogman Conventus Ranae
A.H. Riise Frogman Conventus Ranae is a modern take on naval rum, which has nearly 200 years of history in the Danish Royal Navy. Frogman Conventus Ranae is a handcrafted blend by the master distiller and matures in beautiful barrels - each with a unique history.
All A.H. Riise rums from the Royal Danish Navy collection are traditionally blended as bold and strong rums inspired by the harsh life at sea. These rums have a molasses base and are produced through slow fermentation.
The A.H. Riise Royal Danish Navy Frogman Conventus Ranae rum commemorates the fallen members of the Danish Frogman Corps, which can be loosely translated as "Danish Frogmen forces." The Frogman Corps was established in 1957. Cloaked men in black suits, with nets on their heads, slowly approaching from the water to the shore. Their mission was naval military operations. Coventus Ranae (Latin for "assembly of frogs") is a formal association aimed at strengthening ties between active "frogmen" and retired Frogmen.
The rum has an alcohol strength of 60%, in honor of the 60th anniversary of this association.
