An excellent blend of great Dominican rums, this is Barceló Gran Añejo, a rum aged for more than four years in oak barrels.
Ron Barceló Gran Añejo is characterised by its rich golden amber colour. The wonderful aroma is characterised by citrus and peach notes with a woody undertone.
The delicate, balanced, rounded flavour is characterised by fruity notes. There are also hints of chocolate and vanilla, followed by a subtle caramelised nutty flavour and a semi-dry body. It finishes with flavours of nut butter and caramel, which gradually fade away. The soft finish is also complemented by creamy aftertastes.
Julian Barceló was a young entrepreneur from the Dominican Republic and he had a vision. He wanted to produce a unique rum unlike anything the Caribbean had ever seen before and in 1930, in Santo Domingo, he founded Barceló & Co. His plan worked and the brand quickly established itself and became a success, as well as one of the largest and most respected rum distilleries in the Caribbean.
The bottles are bottled at 37,5 % alcohol with a volume of 0,7 l.
