Description
16-year-old single malt whiskey from the fantastic Aberfeldy distillery, which was released in the second half of 2015 as part of the "Last Great Malts" series. This drink ends its maturation in Oloroso barrels made of sherry, which gives it a juicy sweetness.
Aroma: Raisins and cinnamon come first, then butter candy, caramel and a slice of apple continue. Also a touch of flower malt.
Taste: Well rounded and soft, but not lazy at all. First, more apples, to which pieces of clementines and honey on a toast are soon added. Spark of ginger.
Conclusion: Wax peels and oak.
Overall impression: Ace Aberfeldy and also good price for quality.
