Bareksten Illsint Absinth is made from plant substances and has the main properties of wormwood (Artemisia Absinthium) as well as the properties of some medicinal and culinary herbs. The base of absinthe is aniseed and spices, which give a pleasantly sweet and creamy taste.
Absinthe is produced at Oss Craft Distillery in Bergen, Norway, and the alcohol content is 60 %. Norwegian herbs, potatoes and berries struggle intensely, slowly and endlessly in extreme conditions. Only the strongest and hardiest survive. Norwegian ingredients, touched only by nature, form the basis of the raw flavours of Bareksten's botanical spirits.
Due to the high alcohol content, we do not recommend drinking absinthe neat! We recommend drinking it the traditional way. Pour 25 ml of absinthe into a glass and place a slotted spoon on the rim of the glass. Then place a sugar cube on the spoon and slowly pour cold water over it until the sugar dissolves. The absinthe will turn white during this process, which is normal. Cheers!
