Bathtub Gin
An extraordinary award-winning gin produced by the mysterious Professor Cornelius Ampleforth. It is produced using the traditional method of cold mixing (or layman's addition). Ingredients including juniper, orange peel, coriander, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom are added to high quality alcohol from a copper periodic distillation apparatus.
This gin is produced in ultra-small batches and the length of the mixing period is controlled only by regular sampling. The result is an extraordinary gin, which is slightly colored by plants, and with a taste that is distinctive and perfumed at the same time. It will definitely be a hit for both amateur and professional mixers. Packed in brown paper, with string and wax. This presentation evokes the image of a Victorian pharmacist!
Aroma: The initial rich juniper bouquet is supported by a solid skeleton of rich cereal alcohol. The top notes of cardamom and orange blossom are evident only with a hint of cinnamon.
Taste: In the beginning there is the strongest juniper, but in the initial taste there are also more earthy plants. The mouthfeel is extremely viscous and creamy. It is good alcohol and makes itself known.
Conclusion : The juniper recedes and prefers cardamom and cinnamon, to which a reborn orange peel is added.
Overall: Very unusual, but breathtaking gin. As far as we know, it is the only cold gin currently sold that is mixed cold.
