BenRiach The Twelve 12 Year Old is another great whisky from BenRiach. Triple maturation in ex-sherry, ex-bourbon casks, and port casks has given it an exceptional character and smoothness.
Along with an additional two years in the cask, the virgin oak from the 10-year-old whisky is exchanged for port casks in the twelve, adding a rich character of baked fruits and subtle spices to an already rich and aromatic drink.
BenRiach Distillery is a renowned whisky producer located in the heart of the Speyside region of Scotland. The distillation was founded in 1898 and has a rich history spanning over a hundred years, during which it has earned a reputation for producing exceptional single malt Scotch whiskies. BenRiach Distillery is known for its commitment to traditional methods and takes pride in its hands-on approach to whisky production.
To produce BenRiach Twelve, the BenRiach distillate is allowed to mature in three casks for at least 12 years in sherry, bourbon, and port casks. The whisky from each cask is then expertly blended to create a smooth single malt whisky rich in sherry, with layers of baked fruits, maple honey, and cocoa, perfectly balanced with a long-lasting sultana and spicy mocha finish.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 46% with a volume of 0.7 l. They are delivered in gift tubes.
