Octomore 13.3 / 129.3ppm
Octomore 13.3 is a single malt whisky from the Scottish distillery Bruichladdich. It is made exclusively from premium barley grown on the island of Islay, with a phenol content of 129.3ppm.
It was distilled in 2016 and aged for 5 years in a combination of first-fill French Rivesaltes and Spanish Ribera del Duero casks along with American ex-whiskey. Finally, it was bottled in beautiful matte bottles with a high 61.1% alcohol content.
It is non-chill filtered and contains no coloring. Spring water from the island of Islay was used in its production. It belongs to the limited series The Impossible Equation. The whisky is presented in a minimalist gray tin gift tube.
Color: amber with orange reflections
Aroma: elegant, peat, smoke, herbs, gingerbread spices, apples
Taste: slightly sweet, smoke, caramel, honey, pastry, lemon zest
Finish: long, pronounced, spice, wood, peat, oats, fruit, smoke
