Ardbeg Corryvreckan
Delicately deep, heavily peated and wonderfully wild whisky, Ardbeg Corryvreckan takes its name from one of the largest and most famous sea eddies in the north of Islay.
Ardbeg Corryvreckan takes its name from the famous whirlpool that lies in the north of Islay, where only the bravest of souls will venture. Beneath the surface of this beautifully balanced spirit are swirling aromas and currents of deep, peaty and spicy flavours. Like the swirl itself, Corryvreckan is not for the faint hearted!
In 2010, it was awarded The World's Best Single Malt Award.
Dive into the swirl of flavours and a torrent of flavours appear on the palate; deep, spicy and subtly minty, bombarding the tongue. The first dip will yield a peppercorn-soaked steak with a peppercorn sauce that tastes of crispy seaweed. As you descend deeper, you're met with a mouthful of black tar espresso coffee that coats the palate with rich melted dark fruits (black currants, blueberries and cherries) and bitter almonds. Notes of star anise and violets follow.
Unfiltered by cold and unadulterated. The bottles are filled at 57,1 % alcohol with a volume of 0,7 l and are supplied in gift cartons.
