Ardbeg Anamorphic The Ultimate
Ardbeg Anamorphic The Ultimate is a single malt Scotch whisky whose character is best known for its experimental cask firing technique that creates unique aromatic profiles.
It manifests itself with sweet, smoky, herbal and spicy notes that are complemented by dried herbs, sweet wood and clove. On the tongue, smoky and bitter flavours combine with hints of herbal bark, roasted notes, mocha and fresh ginger. The texture is oily and rich in aroma, with woody and herbal notes accompanied by a smoky aftertaste on the medium-long finish.
This special edition is for members of the Ardbeg Committee, a group of enthusiasts and collectors interested in limited editions and exclusive releases from the Ardbeg distillery. However, Ardbeg Anamorphic will also be appreciated by those looking for a deep and complex Scotch whisky experience.
Ardbeg is one of the oldest distilleries on the island of Islay in Scotland. It was founded in 1815, subsequently closed and reopened. Since then, Ardbeg has become one of the most popular whisky brands in the world. In 1997 it was bought by Glenmorangie, who successfully relaunched it and expanded its range. Today it is owned by the French group LVMH, which continues to maintain the traditional whisky production methods used for over 200 years.
This whisky can be drunk neat or with a splash of water to mellow the flavour and release more of the aromas. The bottles are filled at 48,2 % alcohol with a volume of 0,7 l.
