Years spent in bourbon and port wine casks have given it a fascinating array of bizarre notes. Fragrant lavender and scented candles mingle into a rich almond nuttiness.

Deeper notes like peat and wood smoke introduce bold notes of creosote and tar, then leather and mint chocolate follow, these leap into sweet pear crumble and salted caramel fondant. Ardbeg Distillery (Scottish Gaelic: Taigh-stail Àirde Beaga) is a Scotch whisky distillery in Ardbeg on the south coast of Islay, Argyll and Bute, Scotland, in the Inner Hebrides group of islands.

The distillery is owned by Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy and produces a heavily peated Islay whisky. The distillery uses malted barley sourced from the Port Ellen maltings. The Ardbeg distillery has been producing whisky since 1798 and began commercial production in 1815.
