Caol Ila 12 Year Old

This 12 Year Old single malt whisky is bottled at the Caol Ila distillery. It is defined as a light and crisp whisky with distinctive smoky notes. Balanced flavour with a peaty beauty.

The process of making Caol Ila 12 year old whisky starts with milling barley malt and mixing it with water from the peat ponds, which are right next to the distillery. This mixture is then fermented and then distilled twice in traditional copper pot stills, giving the whisky its distinctive flavour.

After distillation, the whisky is matured for a minimum of 12 years in oak casks, which are often previously used to age sherry. This long maturation allows the whisky to acquire its rich and complex flavour. The bottles are filled at 43 % alcohol and come in gift boxes.

We recommend serving at room temperature or with an ice cube. Ideal for slow enjoyment.
