Ardbeg Heavy Vapours

Ardbeg Heavy Vapours is a limited edition single malt whisky. Something strange is happening at the distillery. The legendary cleaner on the still, which is responsible for the Ardbeg distillery's excellent balance, is nowhere to be seen. And this whisky - Ardbeg Heavy Vapours - is the result.

The whisky is matured in ex-bourbon casks.

The familiar harmony between peat and floral fruitiness has been disturbed. Untamed darker flavours and notes have emerged, which accumulate and fill the senses. This is an ominous spirit with a dramatic, aromatic sharpness. Heavy vapors rise.

Darker flavors and notes of Ardbeg emerge in the taste. A burst of bitter sweetness arrives, disrupting the ashy coal dust and throwing up whiffs of cardamom, peppermint and coffee grounds. Clouds of dark chocolate and minty eucalyptus drop out, the palate contains the fruity and floral notes usually found in the heart of Ardbeg. Cocoons of aniseed, cinnamon and antiseptic lozenges float on the palate.

Unfiltered at 46 %. Bottles come in a gift carton with a special design.
