Jinzu Gin combines English and Japanese traditions to create exciting and tempting alcohol. It is made from a mixture of English gin (along with juniper, coriander, angelica, yuzu and Japanese cherry blossom) and sake, which brings a luxurious creamy feeling and a delicate impressive sweetness to its taste profile. Jinzu Gin was created (and won!) By Bristol bartender Dee Davies for Diageo's Show Your Spirit.
Roku is the first gin from the world-famous Suntory distillery in Japan. It is made from botany, using also specific species of plants that grow only in Japan. These include leaf and flower of sakura, sencha, gyokuro, sansho and yuzu. These herbs are a showcase for all four seasons in Japan. You will definitely feel traces of ginkgo, juniper, orange peel, cinnamon or coriander in the aroma and taste of gin.
Aroma and taste: earthy and plant tones with a hint of sweetness of fruit predominate. Spicy tones are noticeable in the end.
