Balan Merlot is a red, dry, Italian wine. It comes from vineyards in the Lison Pramaggiore and Grave del Friuli areas with different geological compositions and two types of soil: clay and calcareous. The vintage is 2022. The grape variety is 100 % Merlot.
The grapes are gently pressed and, after maceration, approximately 10 % of the wine is left to mature in small oak barrels. The other part rests in steel tanks in the meantime. After a few months, the two parts are combined and left to age together for 30 days before bottling. Further refinement is carried out in bottle.
