Canadian Club
Canadian Club is an iconic Canadian whisky that has been in production since 1858. Its origins date back to Walkerville, Ontario, where Hiram Walker founded his distillery. This whisky became a favourite in gentlemen's clubs in the US and Canada, leading to its nickname 'Club Whisky'. It was later officially renamed 'Canadian Club'.
Canadian Club 1858 is a blended whisky that has been aged in oak casks for over three years, giving it an exceptionally smooth taste. It is pale gold in colour and its aroma is fresh and delicate, with hints of almonds, barley sugar and aniseed, notes of cut grass and fennel, a hint of straw and a vegetal freshness. The palate is spicy and lively, complemented by notes of rich oak and sweet vanilla, with a pleasant sweetness. There are also notes of winter spices and dark sugar, a touch of rum. The finish is clean, dry and lingering with subtle oak notes.
This whisky is very versatile and can be served neat, on the rocks or as part of a mixed drink. It is an ideal choice for those looking for a smooth and refreshing whisky that is accessible to new drinkers.
Bottles are filled at 40 % alcohol with a 0,7 l capacity.
