Chateau Selešťany Trnkovica

Genuine fruit distillate Chateau Selešťany Trnkovica from common sloe. The taste of the sloe distillate is silky and tart (blue), with an extremely long and pleasant aftertaste. It is a very rare and noble drink, and the mere possibility of tasting this rarity is considered a great honour.

The common sloe is a very branched shrub about 2 m tall with thick thorns and fruits - sloes - which ripen into black, blue, bitter stone fruit, which wrinkles after the first frosts and takes on a sweet and tart taste - it ripens. It is only from this point onwards that harvesting for further processing is recommended, as the preparation of the leaven is very difficult and the yield of the spirit is poor.

The distillate was bottled at 52 % alcohol and the bottle volume is 0,5 litres.
