De Luze Extra Fine Champagne
De Luze Extra Fine Champagne is a harmonious blend of eaux-de-vie from Grande and Petite Champagne, the most prestigious terroirs of AOC Cognac.
The eaux-de-vie are aged in French oak barrels until they reach the peak of their flavour, then carefully blended by a cellar master according to true Cognac tradition.
In 1817, Alfred De Luze and his brother Louise-Philippe founded a wine and cognac export company in New York. In 1822, the De Luze Alfred A. & Son of Luze in Bordeaux. In 1862, Alfred Luze bought the Domaine du Chaigne in the Grande Champagne growing region to start producing cognacs. After a period of inactivity at the beginning of the 20th century, Michel Boinaud relaunched the distillery in 1940.
De Luze's headquarters are located in Angeac-Champagne in the French department of Charente, approximately 7 miles south of Cognac. Deluze has its own cooperage, which produces and repairs casks.
The nose is wonderfully floral, fruity and spicy, with notes of lily and ripe figs. The palate starts lightly, almost refined, then builds in power and generosity.
Give the cognac some time in the glass and enjoy it neat.
Bottled at 40 % alcohol, the 0,7 l bottles are presented in gift cartons.
