Gunroom Navy Gin is made from 12 ingredients that reflect the style of 19th century gin. It contains an extra dose of junipers, coriander, archangelica root, iris root, lemon peel. sweet orange peel, licorice, satureja, cinnamon, cinnamon bark, almonds and nutmeg.
Gin matured for 45-60 days in whiskey barrels. This process of aging in wooden barrels was inspired by 19th-century ginmi, when glass bottles were considered luxurious, fragile and unsuitable for long shipments from Britain to India. And it was this history-inspired aging in barrels that gave it an elegantly light, rounded finish and sweet tones of oak vanilla that match the orange peel and spices in its composition.
