Hapusa Himalayan Dry Gin
Hapusa Himalayan Dry Gin is the first exclusively crafted gin in India. In Sanskrit, "hapusa" means juniper, which is not only the name of this gin but also the foundation of its flavor profile. They grow near the snow-capped parts of the Himalayas and give this gin a beautiful structure surrounded by other carefully selected Indian botanicals from across the country.
Local botanicals such as mango, turmeric, cardamom, Indian gondhoraj, ginger, coriander, and almonds bring flavors, cuisine, and culture to the gin, creating an adventurous journey in a bottle. It starts in the pine forests of the Himalayas, continues through the Hooghly River valley, moves on to the monsoon forests of Tamil Nadu, and finally ends on the coastal Indian peninsula of Goa.
The Himalayan Hapusa gin is best enjoyed neat, well-chilled in the freezer or served over ice. Its creators, Anand Virmani and Jay Dhawan, definitely recommend trying Hapusa as part of a Negroni. Or enjoy it with ice, tonic, and 15 ml of dark roasted cold-brew coffee.
