Highland Park 12 Year Old is a Scotch single malt whisky from the Orkney Islands, matured in European and American oak casks, “seasoned” with sherry (American and European sherry seasoned oak casks).
This iconic 12-year-old spirit offers a complex, balanced flavor with rich notes of sun-kissed Seville oranges and juicy fruitcake, spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. The whisky also features hints of heather honey blended with subtle smoke from heather peat.
This whisky is characterized by a dry smoky profile that is perfectly balanced with the sweet taste of honey and heather. It is recommended to serve it with light snacks, such as wasabi peas, pan-seared rib-eye steak, or smoked salmon with cream.
Bottled at 40% alcohol by volume, uncolored, it retains its natural color and authentic flavor according to an ancient Viking recipe, giving it a unique personality and exceptional finish. However, it has been cold filtered.
