To make whiskey, you need quality water, which is why, when Jack Daniels established the distillery, it purchased the Cave Spring Hollow water source - a cave and its surrounding area that are a rare natural source of crystal clear spring water. The cave's limestone layers naturally provide the water with various minerals that contribute to its unique character.
